37 Years of Excellence
The International University was established in 1987 through a federal charter, with its founding campus situated on 580 hectares of land in the lush terrain of [CITY, STATE]. It began with three faculties and an inaugural class of 312 students.
By the mid-1990s, TIU had earned full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and expanded to six faculties. The establishment of the Faculty of Engineering in 1999 marked a pivotal growth phase, attracting federal research grants and international partnerships.
Today, TIU houses 12 faculties, over 87 accredited programmes, a thriving postgraduate school, and a student population of more than 12,000 — with alumni in leadership positions across every sector in Nigeria and the diaspora.
